Approved for use in hazardous areas, the intrinsically safe Volt stick has all the features of the standard 230V version with voltage measuring range 230 to 1000V 50Hz (with respect to ground potential).,Applications for the volt stick include finding breaks in power cables, checking plug wiring, checking fuses, distinguishing between live and neutral wires, determining live cables in junction boxes, finding faulty switches, locating the faulty lamp in a series, and many more. This handy instrument will prove invaluable in saving time when troubleshooting.

Caution
Will NOT detect cables behind plaster, buried trunking, etc., and will not detect output from a safety isolating transformers with earthed secondary centre tap. This unit should be checked for correct opertation using a known voltage before use.
